Bought as a fidget to help our special needs son focus more easily in the evening. He loves Minecraft and picked the ghast version as his favorite. He's loves it. The toy is simple so hopefully it will last a long time. It's a spindle, it doesn't have a motor or an gears. You just place your fingers on the top and bottom "button" areas (they're not actually buttons) and then spin the ghast with your other hand, allowing it to rotate easily around the spindle in the center.
